Williams switched on the TV at the lab, eager to listen to the evening news. The sounds of the followers of Alex were the first to come out of the speakers of the TV, sending out a message to the only church that has refused to convert it’s members to Alex religion regarding him as their god. Alex forbids any of his followers from attending that church. He says the church will corrupt them and they will be re-infected if they attend the church, since everyone including the priest there have been infected.
“Thank God!!! We finally have people somewhere that does not believe in this devilish Alex.” Williams said.
“Guys…I think we should take the scroll to the priest at the church. They should be able to help us out.” John told them.
The next day, they drove straight to the church. The entrance looked dirty, rough and the building was dilapidated. They entered into the church and were amazed to see hundreds of people. Although dying, they still believed in God and were praying for divine intervention from him. The two priests at the church saw the archaeologists entering into the church. They moved closer to examine them. They saw that they were not infected. They thought they were followers of Alex and they began telling them to leave the house of God. Martins stood out to explain;
“Wait!…please let us explain. We are archaeologists….We came to seek your help.” he said.
They narrated their adventure to the priest and showed him the scroll. The priest told them to build-up their faith and pray to God. He would show them the way. As Williams looked through the congregation in the church, he noticed a small black boy standing at the edge of the front row. He approached the boy and saw that he was the only one in the congregation not infected. He bent down to talk to the boy;
“Hello” he said.
The boy looked at him but didn’t utter a word.
“What’s your name?” he asked.
The caretaker of the church, a tall slim looking man, noticed Williams and said to him;
“He can’t hear you.”
“Why?” Williams said.
"He’s deaf!"
“How come? Where are his parents?”
“Dead!” The caretaker replied.
“But he sure can talk.”
“No!” The old man replied.
Suddenly Williams kept calm, he looked at the boy very closely and shouted;
“I have found him!!”
His colleagues looked at him, saying;
“Found who!?”
He lifted the boy up and shouted again;
“He’s the one, the descendant of Abraham!!”
They walked towards him and John said;
